ORGIN
I am Alfred Vijay, was born in CMCH, Vellore. While I was growing, my parents found some abnormality in my walk. Doctors diagnosed that I was a Cerebral Palsy child. CEREBRAL PALSY is a brain damage caused at birth which results immobilisation of limbs. On hearing this, my parent’s dream was totally crushed. They didn’t know what to do. Their hearts were filled with worries about my life, but they had faith in Lord Jesus Christ and Prayed. By God’s grace, I did my schooling in a normal way. At a certain time in my life I had no outlet, I felt alone....My heart was filled with questions & worries.
MY SALVATION
At that time, I developed a closer relationship with the Lord and understood His Love. There I found all answers to my questions. God gave me a vision with the word Isaiah 60:1 “ARISE SHINE THY LIGHT HAS COME”. After that I understood that God has a plan for me; He has a purpose in my life, to care those who were affected like me.
GOD’S PLAN
In order to serve these Special Children we registered a PUBLIC CHARITABLE TRUST, called "RISE" which stands for “REHABILITING INFANTS (CP & MR) TO SHINE IN THE ENVIRONMENT” (Regd. No.932/2005). Our mission is to make these special children, shine in their environment.
